Palmetto Artisan Program
For years the youth in Charleston, SC had created a problem as they peddled handmade crafts on its downtown streets. They posed a danger to themselves and were a nuisance to others. Thus, the Palmetto Artisan Program was created. The program includes an after school camp, in which children can learn crafts then apply for permits to sell their wares, and encouraging youth to become future business owners.
