The 2nd Annual Murray State University Sustainability Conference was convened on Wednesday, October 28, 2009. The day-long conference featured speakers, discussion sessions, and a "sustainability" exhibit designed to educate and inform students, leaders, and citizens about "green and sustainable" issues and solutions.
The Kentucky Sustability Institute - a partnership formed by the NewCities Institute, the Kentucky Energy and Environment Cabinet, and the Kentucky League of Cities - presented a session on "Practical-ly Green" - simple and practical steps that any homeowner, business, or government agency can implement.
